The Speed I Build To.

Google’s “good” thresholds for Core Web Vitals, the scores it uses for how fast and steady a page feels. They are what I aim for on product and collection pages.

Core Web Vitals

  • LCPLargest Contentful Paint

    2.5 seconds or less

How long the biggest thing on the page, usually the main image, takes to appear.

Good is 2.5 seconds or less, needs improvement is up to 4 seconds, poor is over 4 seconds.

  • INPInteraction to Next Paint

    200 milliseconds or less

How quickly the page responds when someone taps, clicks or types.

Good is 200 milliseconds or less, needs improvement is up to 500 milliseconds, poor is over 500 milliseconds.

  • CLSCumulative Layout Shift

    0.1 or less

How much the layout jumps around while the page loads.

Good is 0.1 or less, needs improvement is up to 0.25, poor is over 0.25.

Thresholds are Google’s, measured at the 75th percentile of real visits. They show the standard I work to.

Pricing

One Fixed Quote, Agreed Up Front.

Every store is different, so I don’t publish prices. After the free call you get a written scope with milestones and a fixed price, before any work starts.

What affects the price

  • PagesHow many different page layouts the store needs, from the homepage to product and collection templates.
  • AppsWhich apps need setting up or connecting, and whether anything needs building custom.
  • MigrationsWhether products and content move across from another platform, such as WooCommerce, Wix or Squarespace.

Questions About Shopify Builds

Straight answers on themes, migrations, apps and speed.

  • Yes. I can rework your current theme or build a new one, whichever costs you less for the result you want.

  • Yes. Store migrations from those platforms are part of the service. What moves across is agreed in the written scope before any work starts.

  • Yes. I build with sections and blocks you can change in Shopify’s theme editor, and the launch includes a walkthrough so your team knows where everything lives.

  • Only the ones it needs. Every app adds weight, so I set up and connect the essentials, and if nothing on the app store fits, I can build a custom tool instead.

  • Speed is part of every build. I aim for Google’s Core Web Vitals “good” thresholds on product and collection pages: LCP 2.5 s or less, INP 200 ms or less, and CLS 0.1 or less.
